I have a year and a half old iPhone 6s that I am deciding on updating or staying on iOS 10.3.3. Will I notice a performance decrese? Or will it run mostly the same as iOS 10?

Thank you I was mainly thinking about updating it for wifi calling my carrier needs it to be on iOS 11. This is my first iPhone coming from Samsung and was worried about it slowing down like the galaxy phones did

iOS 11.2.2 runs great on my 6s. I didn’t really notice a performance difference going from iOS 10.3.3 to iOS 11. I prefer iOS 11.

This is what I suspect and thank you for confirming. With that being said, I recommend the OP update to the latest iOS version, if only for security purposes.

There was a barely noticeable difference between iOS 11 and iOS 10 on my 6s, but, as I said, it's barely noticeable. Battery performance is also very slightly worse - though post-upgrade, as it often is, battery life is pretty well hard-hit for at least a day or two.

The other issue, of course, is battery degradation over time. But with the new $29 battery replacement program, that's also fixable for a reasonable price (and the performance throttling due to battery degradation began with iOS 10.2.2 anyway). My battery is fine, but I had it replaced in December 2016 under Apple's battery recall.

Thank you all for your replies. I went ahead and updated so far I have noticed no difference even running side by side on someone else's iPhone se that's only a few months old and actually it kind of feels like my battery life improved somehow.
