Bluetooth stopped playing music in my car

I’ve seen some posts similar to this question but I’ve had no luck resolving this issue. I have a Mazda 3 and since last November I have been using Bluetooth to play music via Spotify. I got an iPhone 6s a few months ago and have never had an issue with this until a week ago when I updated the software to 11.0.3. Ever since it stopped working. My phone recognizes that it’s connected to my car and what’s crazy is when I have the two paired i can hear the clicking noise through my car in Bluetooth but as soon as o try to play music it stops. I already tried unpairing them and adding them back and still nothing. Please help this is so frustrating
