Why won't my iPhone 6S read messages disappear?

Iphone 6S read messages won't disappear

I have deleted mail and reinstalled I have hard booted several times. The read message icon will not disappear after messages are read. Went to Verizon. They also tried.

ISthe mail account configured as IMAP? If so, is your email provider Microsoft Outlook? If so, then you are not alone, especially if you access that email via the native Mail app.It's a known bug.
