Stop shaking it......Seriously, if you think there is a problem with your iPhone, make a Genius Bar appointment with the nearest Apple Store to have them diagnose the problem for you.

Could be you have a "shake to undo last action" enabled with a tactile vibrate feedback? I know the shake action exists, I just can't remember where it is used in the defaults.

Shake to undo is used in messages, mail, calender, notes, and contacts.

Is it a vibrate or a rattle? Now and then people post about hearing a rattle in the phone when they shake it.
