    I can see light through the silent switch when in a dark room and brightness up high. It's not a massive issue just worried about dust etc getting in.

    Compare it with another iPhone 6S under the same circumstances and see if it's just your phone or both. If it's just yours, make a genius bar appointment with the nearest Apple Store to get it exchanged or fixed. Personally, I haven't noticed anything like that.

    It is hard to tell with my screen so bright, because it lights the whole room.

    I turned the brightness all the way up and made sure the screen was on, turned out the lights and put the phone face down on my desk. I see no light coming through surrounding the mute switch, and I even looked with a magnifying glass.
