iPhone 6s does not make shutter noise

I have a iphone 6s and when i take a picture it does not make the shutter sound. Does anyone know why this is. Thanks

Perhaps so you can take stealth pictures? In any event I did not see an option to add a shutter sound via the camera options under settings.

Do you have the mute switch turned on? The camera makes no sound when the phone is muted with the switch.

Yes, check the ring/silent switch on the side. Make sure it's on.

If you are in live picture mode that is the reason. The live picture on/off is the circle at the top of the screen when you open the camera.

Ah my mute is ALWAYS on, I monitor my calls and such on my Apple Watch.

Either one of those (Mute or Live Photo) will disable the shutter click sound.

Yes Apple primary, and Nexus 6P secondary. Also have late 2013 MacBook Pro, and Late 2015 skylake 27 inch retina iMac.
