    When I am given the choose a backup option On my way! my iPhone 6S set up I am told none of my listed iCloud backups are compatible with the version of iOS (9.0.2) on the iPhone 6S.

    You cannot restore a backup from a newer iOS version to a device running an older version. You must update your iPhone 6S to iOS 9.2.1 first and then restore the backup you made from your old iPhone.

    Welcome to iMore. You are going to have to update your new iPhone to 9.2.1 for it to be compatible with your backups.
