I bought an iPhone 6s last week. I am facing this strange problem. Half of the time the battery usage time and standby time are showing the same. In fact the usage time is showing the same as standby time. I tried soft reset by pressing Power+Home but in vein. Please help.

Have you tried a hard reset? This does not remove any data from your device.

Press and hold both the power button and the home button until the screen goes black... keep depressing both buttons until you see the apple logo and then let go.

Actually I meant to say hard reset. I did it but the battery status (both usage and status went blank (--). Later when I charged fully the same issue returned. Now as I am typing, i have both standby and usage status showing as 3hrs 16 minutes. I have uninstalled Facebook some minutes back just to check. Anyway thanks a lot for the help. I will update after doing the hard reset once again.

Thanks Arnold. I did a hard reset again and now everything is working fine. But I am not sure the problem will repeat or not. Let me wait n see.

Are you charging it up to full 100%?

    Yes I do.
Have you let the battery discharge all the way down to 1%, then charge it up to full 100%?
