My iPhone 6S vs water!!

Well few nights ago my iPhone 6S had a dip into some water, was in it for about 10seconds, i pulled it out as soon as I could and switched it off straight away ... it has been drying for almost 3 days now so really hope no long term damage has been done.
I will update monday once Iv had it turned back on... nervous doesn't even begin to explain how I'm feeling!!

Ok 3 days drying in the airing cupboard and have just turned it on....... all seems fine so far! Need to find a pin to swop the sim cards back over but done a few test and looks good!!!! :yes::yes::yes:

Glad to hear your iPhone seems to have survived! I've read multiple reports that the 6s has increased water resistance over previous models.

No, Applecare does not. Applecare+ may. I don't know. But plain Applecare does not.

OP has a 6s so AppleCare+ is the only option available. I think we generally just refer to it as AppleCare for simplicity.

I don't. That only creates confusion. Just like the reset issue.

Drop your phone into a sealable bag of uncooked rice or some salt. It'll absorb all of the water out of your phone and give it a better chance of living! Careful to not get salt or rice into the ports though.

Sorry. I wasn't familiar with a difference. When I speak AppleCare I was talking about the coverage you pay an extra $129 for. Which does, I believe, cover water damage.
