Will engraving my name on the back of my iPhone 6s void the warranty

I would like to get my name engraved on the back of my new 6s, will doing this void the warranty?

I can't see how it would. Apple offers the engraving as an option on the iPads and used to do so for iPods.

From reading the warranty info all I can determine is that if any damage is sustained during the process of engraving, that is not covered by the warranty. But it doesn't look like the engraving itself will prevent you from receiving support of any kind from Apple. I'd probably talk to Apple first though to be safe.
