Planning to get an iPhone 6s Plus. The apps that I use are just Facebook, instagram, twitter, Snapchat, and messenger and just 1 or 2 games. Also, after I take pictures, I just save them on iCloud. So is the 16gb storage just enough for me?

I’m assuming your buying a used one? Because Apple offers it now in the lowest storage of 32.

My 58 year old mother got a 16GB iPhone 6S from us (the kids) and like you, she only ever uses it for social media and the incidental photos.
Somehow she still manages to barely have any storage left on her phone.

I guess I’m trying to say is if you can afford the bigger storage, go for it.

64 if you can, you will probably end up keeping your phone for 3+ years and all the software updates and possible chance you may use your phone more I say go with the middle storage.

Welcome to iMore. I'm a firm believer in get as much as you can afford. "It's better to have and not need than to need and not have", with that said the 6s Plus comes in 32gb/128gb unless your purchasing a used one.

I'm with the camp that says get the amount that fits your needs. Why spend extra money for something you'll never use? If you need a car just to drive back and forth to work, should you buy a Ferrari?
Only you know what you use your device for. Best of luck!

I’m also in the camp of those who say get as much as you can afford or are willing to pay for, however, the OP asked a specific question, and based on what he stated, 16 GBs should suffice, in my opinion....

Skip the 16gb and get the next size up. 64gb if used or 32gb if available. 16gb is so little these days it won't take much to fill it up.

Even if you save your photos to iCloud, they also remain on your phone. iCloud is not like Dropbox. If you delete the photos from your phone, they also delete in iCloud.

I started with the 16GB 6s and have regretted it every day since. I’m forever having to delete and reinstall apps to clear the apps cache. Go for as much as you can afford

As someone who has a 16GB 6s I would recommend you go for at least the 32GB.

16GB was fine for me until apps swelled in size. Now with apps being around 200meg that’s 1GB gone with 4 or 5 apps. Of course iOS takes space so that’s more gone. Once you had in some photos and the inevitable app data and perhaps some messages / mails even with minimal apps you’ll find you steuggle for space with 16GB

I bought my device so I’m not tied into contract. I’m just waiting to see what the new device is before making a decision on what to do. I’ll be honest, I might even consider the 64GB version next time just to ensure there’s enough space for me to not worry about space.
