    It disabled your cellular network. Yep it does help save battery life, although you won't have cellular connectivitiy. You can still use Wifi or Bluetooth though.

    Yep, all radios turned off ... It really does save battery life however you have zero access to the outside.

    To clarify, if you turn on airplane mode, all radios are disabled by default, however you can (and have to) manually turn the wi-fi and bluetooth back on if you want any access.

    Definitely. Just swipe up to Control Center and re-enable one or both.
