Finding Mobile Alerts on the Iphone 6S Plus

My phone sounded an alert while I was driving and I pressed the button, and the alert disappeared. Now I don't know what the message was. Where do I find the alert?

Try on the notification tab.
If it was an alarm, you won't find it there.
