You need an adapter to do this. There are pieces out there on YouTube to show you how to make one, but I think purchasing one made to work with your device is a better idea. I recently bought an Altec Lansing lav mic that includes the desired adapter. The mic kinda stinks, but I already have a better one that I'll be using with the included adapter.
