It's in the Apple Watch. And rumored to be on the next line of iPhones.

Do you think this is a good direction to move towards for a mobile device?

    Pros and Cons?

I've never tried "Force Touch", so I would definitely have to try it before making a positive or negative comment. Apple usually gets it right though, so I will just have to wait and see.

Now that I'm used to it on the Watch, and it's available on the newest MacBooks, I'd say yes to the thread question. In regard to the question, "Do you think this is a good direction to move towards for a mobile device?", I don't know. The Force Touch feature is basically for shortcut purposes so I don't see it as a bad thing. I'm interested in seeing how it affects Siri, if the Force Touch feature is part of the home button. If it's a screen function like it is on the Watch then I think it could be a welcomed option to have.

I haven't seen it because I haven't got an  Watch yet. Or a Mac. Yet. But it sounds like a great enhancement.

I love it on my  watch, but I think this all leading up to a patent where touch id is part of the display... will we see the home button disappear on the iPhone 7 now that force touch comes into play
