Why won't my iPhone 6 charge properly!

I have plugged my phone into a extension cable, doesn't recognise on my phone that it is plugged in, then tried again with a different charger in a wall and still won't recognise that it is plugged in, finally tried plugging it into my Mac and the charge is now going down!!

Don't extend the USB cable.. Extend the power cable.

In my experience USB extension cables are wonky in quality.

It's better to extend from wall socket to charger.

Welcome to iMore! Exactly what Tartarus said. Never use a USB extension cable on an iPhone. You can get MFi certified lightning cables in greater lengths for a couple of bucks. Amazon Basics makes a good one.
