I've noticed my iPhone 6 does not seem to be reporting the battery life correctly. Quite often I will find that the battery life has suddenly dropped by 30-50%. But when I plug it in to charge nearly instantly the meter will jump up to what I guess is the actual battery status of 70-80ish%. Just this morning I sat down at my desk at work to find my iPhone saying it had 44% battery remaining after 3 hours of standby time and 1.5 hours screen on time. I plugged it in and it immediately jumped to 77%. This seems to be happening with more frequency lately.
Has anyone noticed this behavior? Rebooting the iPhone does not seem to change anything.
