Why won't my iPhone 6 let Siri complete calendar entries?

iPhone 6 will not let Siri complete calendar entries

Siri takes all info for calendar entry and shows it as I specified, with cancel or confirm in a box on the screen. It then asks 'Should I schedule it?' and I respond 'yes'. It seems to be scheduling it but then says 'Sorry, (name), I can't do that'.

I tried to replicate the problem, but I can't. Any event I have Siri schedule for me gets placed in my calendar without a problem. Having said that, when I attempt to have Siri add notes to the event, the event still gets created but the title of the event is the information I want in the notes section of the event.
