Just want to make a contact group contaiing 3 people so that I can select that group so that they are the only ones that can ring my phone. My mom is in the hospital and I want to keep my phone active but dont want to hear anyting except when one of the 3 people in my group calls me the iphone lets that call through but no one else.

There's other apps as well.
But it doesn't do all you want. I don't think that's possible. You can set "Do Not Disturb" in Settings to allow only those 3 to call. You would need to add them as favorites in the phone app.
