Today Apple Store swapped out my 5 month young 16GB iPhone 6 for a new replacement device and instructed me to restore from iCloud backup AFTER updating to iOS 9.

So I started the restore at 615pm EST - it's now 1215am EST - 6hrs and still restoring......
Isn't this a bit too long???

Tech dude suggested to NOT restore from iTunes on MacBook via cable as he suggested that backup is corrupted or has some bug that caused the initial problems on original iPhone 6...... Does he have a legitimate point?

He does have a valid point.
It is not very frequent, but backups can become corrupted :S
