Why do I have white blank photos when taking a picture at night on the iPhone 6?

White blank photos when taking a picture at night on iphone 6

When trying to take a photo at night time the flash goes off but all I'm left with is a white blur. I've tried turning the flash on, off and having HDR both on and off and it's exactly the same. Any ideas?

What are you trying to take a picture of?
If you're too close, all you'll get is a blur of flash.
If you're too far away, the flash won't reach the subject.
Also, what phone?

Do you have a case on your phone? I've heard of some cases interfering with the camera and/or flash.
