How can I get a voice memo from my iPhone to iPad?

I'm trying to air drop my voice memos from my iPhone 6 onto my iPad mini 2, when I do, the files automatically go into my google drive app. -- Which says "unable to open file. this file type is not supported"

I just want an app that I can put on my iPad that will play my voice memos. I see voice recorder apps in the app store- but I don't want to pay for something unless I know it will work. Any suggestions?

Ok upon research it appears the voice memos app which is baked in to the iphone is NOT available in the iPad. While there ARE voice note taking apps available for download for the ipad I'm not sure which if any would be compatible with notes made from the iphone app. Why Apple has chosen not to include this app in the ipad is a mystery to me. Sorry.
