Google now features without using Google now?

Please help I switched to iPhone 6 from android and I would like features like Google now without the app is there anyway to get it?

No just some of the features like travel info and some topics I am interested in

You want all that info, but no app? There's some nice travel apps as well as apps with topics you'd like. But with no app, you would need to Google your info in Safari or the browser of your choice. Note : apps are great on iOS. Try some.

You can manually add widgets to Notification Center to give you news based on your interests, but that would require an app download. Once iOS 9 is released in the fall, it will ship with Proactive Suggestions, which will be a built in service, somewhat like Google Now that will deliver smart info based on your location or interests.
