Calendar Events on lock screen

Is there a way to get upcoming calendar events to show up on the lock screen? Or is pulling down the notification tab the only way?

The only way a calendar event will show up on the lock screen is if it meets criteria to show as a notification - depending on how you've set up calendar notifications.

Actually what I'm thinking about is something similar to the WP glance screen.
