Why is my iPhone 6 draining battery like crazy all of a sudden?

My iPhone 6 started draining all of a sudden 3 days ago after 2 months.

Home & lock screen shows 48% usage on iPhone 6,

I've shut down most everything, notifications, etc. and still draining.

When new up to two days ago would last full day with lots of apps going, 3 days ago won't last 3 hours without recharging. Don't remember anything new or change on anything.

When I turned Facebook back on after turning off overnight seemed to even drain more.

Any ideas?

I had this problem a few weeks ago. My standby and usage times were identical and battery life plummeted. I did a hard reset and it was perfectly fine after that. My guess is that either an app or a system process was misbehaving and a reboot fixed it. Also, are you on the latest 8.1.1 update? I don't recall if 8.1.1 came out before or after I had that one time issue, but my battery life has been stellar since.

Tried that as well as did a system restore, still going down quite fast when Facebook is online, have most everything shut off, all notifications, now settings showed since last 18 hours, settings 34%, home & lock screen 21%. Now have everything shut off cellular except find my phone, little slower going down but still going down. I'm thinking my battery might have gone south. If just sitting overnight now with everything shut off will stay at 100%, soon as I start using it with Facebook or safari goes down a point every 3 or 4 minutes. Everything else shut down.

That does sound excessive. Is there an Apple store nearby you where you can have them check it out?

The apple store is an hour away but next time I go there will ask them about it. I have all notifications turned off now as well as bluetooth, most everything but the essential phone and messages etc. so it's not as bad. I can get through the day now with about 35% drain, still not great but better.
