keyboard question

I have a new 6 and when I got it the keyboard would suggest words as I type, i think I somehow turned this off and now I can't get it back..

did I do something or did it go away by itself ?

You broke it. I think you are going to have to erase and restore your phone. Or you can drag the gray bar above your keyboard up.

Ok I restored my phone, lost all my contacts and photos and I still don't have the suggestion bar ?

are you sure restoring should fix this ?

If you see this little bar above your keyboard: slide it up and it'll show the suggestions. If that doesn't work, go to your keyboard settings and make sure predictive is on
