I shouldn't be worried about scratching the lens, since it's sapphire?

This is not the first protruding camera in a phone. Don't think it's a problem.

The protruding camera was the one cosmetic feature I hated about other manufacturers phones. The flat camera was a cosmetic feature that made the iPhone the iPhone. I don't think you have to worry about it scratching though.

Unless your rubbing diamond on the lens it won't scratch.

I have my 6 Plus in a case. The lens no longer qualifies as "protruding". Moving on.
