Why am I unable to send text messages to other iPhone users?

iphone 6 messages issue with iOS 8.0.2

Since upgrading my iPhone 6 from iOS 8 directly to iOS 8.0.2 via iTunes, I am not able to send Messages to other iPhone users or respond to their messages to me, although I do receive their messages. I am told to send as a text message and, even then, my message fails to be delivered.

Does anyone know a workaround to this issue? Does anyone know if Apple is working on a fix? With what timetable?

Try resetting network settings and turning on and off your iMessage

Thanks. Didn't work. Also, it seems that the problem only exists when sending or replying to group messages, even when all other are on iPhones. Messaging the same people in individual messages works properly. Tried turning Group Messaging off and on - no joy.

i know its pain i have simillar issues only with other iphone users. I have low data limit so when im on wifi it sends as a IMESSAGE when I go back to wifi off I need delete the message and open a new one its a pain but you could try that never know.
