I'm not getting any better a speed than with my 5. Apple claims somewhat, faster wifi speeds, but I just saw a video of a guy doing a test side by side with his 5 and his new 6 (one at a time) using the Ookla speed test app.(same as I use)His 6 got about double the speed of his 5. His 5 got about 85 and his 6 hit about 180.

Any one else test this yet?

Here's something important. What type of internet connection are you on? Fiber, DSL, etc?

The difference in wifi is that 801 ac is now supported. If you do not have an ac router you will see no difference.

I have the 6+, not the 6, so I don't really know if this will help but I have noticed the wifi speeds on my phone are a little over twice as fast as it was on my 5s

Chances are your router doesn't support 802.11 ac, as austriak said.

Yeah I just checked. It's n. The ac's seem expensive from a quick search I just did.
Any suggestions? May explain why my internet seems so slow here.

*actually just realized-only my new iPhone would benefit

That has to do with your carrier and whatever area you're in.

Yeah my speedtest results are nothing to write home about but I think it's less to do with my iPhone and more to do with my crappy internet provider, bandwidth hog son, and distance from an LTE tower.
