What are your first impressions regarding battery life on the iPhone 6??

I took my phone off the charger Tuesday morning at 545 am. I am just now at 5% and ready to charge.

Mine is way better than my 5s was. I use to have to charge my 5s at work most days. I'm quite satisfied with the battery life on my 6.

I have statistics from a few days, would someone mind telling me if they are average or pretty crap?

At 2 hours and 14 minute usage, and 4 hours 14 minute standby, I was at 40%.

At 3 hours usage and 8 hours 9 minutes standby, I was at 29%.

6 hours and 6 minutes with 15 hours of standby. 23% left, mostly web browsing, iMore Forums app, Twitter, Instagram, and a little YouTube.

Haha yeah I guess so. Have you tried turning off Background App Refresh? This has saved me a lot of battery by turning things off I don't need.

I also use about 40-50% brightness all the time and keep Bluetooth off most of the time as well.

I also have that much brightness and I have the app refresh on, but only for things I actually use, such as 3 or 4 applications.

That's a little odd. I only have about 5 apps selected in Background App Refresh as well.

Yeah, I figured so. My phone also keeps getting hot after 5-10 minutes of use. I'm taking it to the genius bar next weekend. Hopefully they can figure something out!

Haha, thanks! And btw, when you go into camera, do you have several blurry strange/weird lines at the start that disappear after a minute or two? This happens sometimes only.

No, that hasn't happened to me. That's definitely Genius Bar material though.

Honestly I wasn't expecting much in the terms of battery. In getting better usage than i thought so I won't complain

Looking pretty good today. The battery life seems pretty decent so far, but nothing impressive.

I'm actually quite pleased with the battery life on my iPhone 6. The day I got it I had to travel to an area with very poor connection so it got toasted, and eventually a chose to put it on airplane mode when I wasn't using it but otherwise, in areas with normal connection, it's pretty good.
I did tweak my settings a bit, with respect to brightness and location services on certain apps, and my wifi is off unless I need it, but I do not need to charge it everyday.

I am absolutely impressed with the battery on the 6. Normally unplug at 6 am and by 3:00 pm I'm sitting at 50% with normal/high use (all over wifi). My 5S would die by 12:00pm, so yeah I'm stoked!!!!

You nailed it!
I've used all platforms, found Apple to be Solid no matter what happens!
Funny everyone comes to bash them, then try to substantiate why they bought the platform they are using.

Apple works and works well! When it works for you, why go elsewhere.
Found customer service to be top notch whenever I have had any issues.

Just my two cents
