Trying to get a feel for what you fine folks will do when you get your devices. And why you feel your chosen way is the better way for you.

New for me. Especially since I have iOS 8 on my 5S... all the pics I need are in iCloud.

    Hmm this is interesting.
I'm not using my iPhone at the moment because I killed it...and I don't remember my apps I loved all by name...and I like the way I had my phone set up....
I think I would like to set up from backup , but not sure what I'll do when the day gets here.

Set up as new because I don't have a backup to restore from If I did have a backup though, I wouldn't restore from that when I got my 6.

I'm gonna save all my pics to Dropbox and set it up as new. I'll add all my music and apps after. It'll take a while but I have time.

It's not bad. I only do that when I'm setting up a new device.

Set up as new. Itunes or Icloud installs music and photo's and the apps I use, I just log in and the data downloads, so I'm good to go.

This is what I was wondering. It's the iTunes play lists not getting ruined that I struggle with sometimes.

I've usually restored from back up but I think I'm going to set up as new this time. I want to start completely clean and add everything I want piece by piece.

I'm surprised so many people setup as new. I love restoring from backup & having everything exactly the way It was on my last phone.
Is there an advantage to setting it up as new???

I still back up my iPad to iTunes so I will never forget. I think I'm going to start as new that way I won't have any extra things I don't need now. At least I get to keep my current phone to remember what apps I have added this past year
