Verizon Deal for the iphone 6

Verizon has a deal where if I trade in my old phone, I can get the iphone6 for free. Well, I would get a $200. verizon gift card sent to me. Or I can send my old phone in and get a gift card in the amount of $33.00 but I would still have to pay $199.00 for the phone. I'm not sure which to do because I don't think I will use $200.00 worth of verizon accessories. What does everyone think??

You've lost me. What does $200 worth of "Verizon accessories" have to do with trading in your old phone for a gift card? Are you saying that the gift card is ONLY for accessories or can the gift card be used toward the purchase of a new iPhone? Please clarify.

Not bad if you're not planning on leaving Verizon anytime soon and really want the iPhone 6, in my opinion. I've almost certainly decided to get the iPhone 6 Plus.

If you're looking to get the iPhone 6 AND you don't mind being tied to the Verizon Network for another two years AND you don't plan on selling or giving your old device to a friend or relative then go for it, in my opinion.

The Gift Card is a generic gift card that you receive in the mail 2 weeks or so AFTER you send in your old iPhone. The gift card can be used on anything at Verizon Wireless. Your bill, accessories, orders, etc.

I've done some reading about it as I'm thinking of doing that as well, since it's $25 more than Gazelle.

This is how I understood it as well - $200 for the 4, 4S, 5, 5C or 5S. My mom has a 4 and wants a 6 Plus. Almost seems too good to be true.

I have a 5 and am getting a 6 Plus. Both of us are planning on using the gift card on future monthly bills.

Seems like a pretty bad deal unless you have a low-storage iPhone 4 or 4s. The 5 and 5s are going for $350+ on eBay, so the deal seems pretty cold looking at it that way.

not quite sure if you can only get verizon gift card on trade i u sign new agreement. but just for heck of it i went thru got estimate for my iphone 5s was 300$ so the deal for iphone 6 seems kinda odd if u can trade yours in get 300 card :-/ not sure how all that works though.

Yeah $200 is iPhone 4S/5 (maybe 5C, too) 5S is more.
