Will the iPhone 6 get a new USB cable and charger or will Apple keep on using the Lighting connector?

There's no indication Apple is moving away from lightning connectors on any future mobile devices.

I'm totally fine with lightning as it's very compact. Look how long 30 pin has been around and it's still hanging on.

I also don't see them changing anytime soon. That being said, I would love to see a switch to micro USB. Yes, I know it's wishful thinking.

I could see Apple possibly improving the lighting connector with something like lightning 2. They might do that to improve the charging speed (the connector would basically be the same). Otherwise, I don't see Apple moving away from the lighting connector for a while.

It will be the same. Lightning is a few years old. No reason to change it

This would be a step backwards the lightening charger is a better system

I hope they don't change it. Don't see why they would.

I don't anticipate any change. The port size is just perfect.

Hopefully it will follow the same charging method as the watch, and if they want to make it more convenient, make a phone and watch combo available in the stores this fall and make them both capable of charging together.

I think it will be the same size as the lightning, but may have beefed up specs. Faster data transfer rate etc.

The only change I can see them doing is adding USB 3.0 support and maybe thunderbolt support but that's it.

Lightning isn't going anywhere for a while. I know people we're having issues with them originally wearing out fast but I think they have rectified that
