I think that it's a given that the iPhone 6 will come with the A8 processor. However, does that mean that there will also be an M8 motion co processor, like in the iPhone 5s and iPad Air with the A7 and M7? Or will the A8 have enough power to perform by itself and have more powerful GeekBench scores than the iPhone 5s and iPad Air?

That's true. I'm having a hard time believing that there wouldn't be an M8 co processor in the iPhone 6. I'm also having a hard time believing that, according to rumours, the iPhone 6 that's 4.7" will come out in June at WWDC 2014 and the 5.5"-6" iPhone 6 will come in the fall. But who knows? Maybe Apple will surprise us all...

Maybe even shorter (if rumours are true for a June release date at WWDC)?

There would probably be an M8. Even if it turns out to be a minor update to the current M7, it would have a new name for the sake of marketing.

The name seems settled for me. M8. What I'm interested in is what it's going to include.

This is true. For the sake of always moving forwards, I very much doubt they will use the M7 in its current form. If they do any kind of update to it, the least they will call it is the M8 I think.

I agree. The thing is it's still rumours at this point.

The m7 hasn't even been fully put thru it's paces yet they didn't increase the Ram in the 5s and most of us where happy with that
