So how do you guys think the app devs will respond to the "2 new possible larger iPhones" they will need to optimize their apps for both new versions of the phone. I mean their are still apps who update their apps but haven't updated to iPhone 5 screen yet. Just wanted to know your opinions.

Probably wont be any different than minis vs full size iPad... Apple will make it so things are scalable.

Depends on the screen resolution, but judging by the GPU in the 5S and the iOS 7 coding, it shouldn't be a problem "scaling" games or apps for the higher resolutions.

I think apple will make it easy for the apps/games to scale. Apple isn't going to make it super difficult, even though many devs took forever/are still waiting to be optimized for the 4" screen.

I hope so! It seemed to be difficult going from iPhone 4 to 5 to scale the apps i am actually going to get the next iPhone

Yeah you would think apple would make it easy like on android. I guess that is one plus to having so many devices and sizes you add that into the OS where for so long apple only had a few different sizes.

Definitely ~ although the fragmentation isn't as bad as in Android's situation ~

IOS has "feature fragmentation" where apple withholds certain parts of the OS to make the newer phone more enticing to purchase. Androids apps scale to fit all the screens, fragmentation deals with the OS version and even that in many of the cases is overcome by developers having their apps work from GB on up
