Why does my iPhone 6 plus say no contacts?

My iphone 6plus says no contacts

when i try to access my contacts, it says "no contacts" it will go to my recent calls,but not my contacts > HELP!!

Welcome to iMore. First suggestion would be to try a hard reset. Hold the power & home button till the apple logo appears. If this does not work, hopefully you have a current backup of your phone as my next suggestion would be to restore your iPhone to that backup. Hopefully one or the other will help you solve this problem.

Welcome to iMore! Also try opening your Contacts app, tapping on Groups in the upper left corner, and tapping Show All Contacts.
