After the update If I make a phone call or someone calls me the phone will be fine but then it will still show the calls connected but I can't hear the person on the other end and they can't hear me. Have tried a hard reset and and redownloaded the latest iOS and still have a problem could it be the phone or another iOS problem?

I'd take it to an Apple GeniusBar and if you can replicate the issue, they'll likely replace the device.

Either "reset all settings" or restore the device and then set it up as new.

I just tried setting it up as new same issue. I will try a Genius Bar to see if they can take a look at it.

Reset All Settings puts all settIngs, alarms, and notifications back to default. It includes everything in Settings and the clock app.
