Why are photos being sent by text not downloading?

Why are photos being sent by text not downloading, or taking too long.

I have an iPhone 6 plus and i am receiving texts with photos? what I am seeing now is a box that says Downloading, full size render,jpg and the size. This has not happened before. now they are slowly downloading but it is taking way too long. is there is a setting to increase the speed of downloading? they came immediately downloaded with my iPhone 6.

So slow MMS. What carrier are you on? And does this happen when anyone sends you a MMS or is it someone specific to one carrier?

That's usually a sign that you're having carrier network issues, and that the picture that is being sent is stuck in limbo as the data tries to transfer from one phone to yours. You can try resetting your network settings or just generally resetting your iPhone.

Is iMessage working properly?
