I just purchased a verizon iPhone 6 plus. I am thinking about taking it back and getting a sim free one. Will the sim free work on verizon? Big red is funny about non verizon. Phones on there network.

The SIM-free version will apparently work on Verizon. It is also unlocked like the phone you have now. Unless you have plans of using your phone in China, it's pointless.

That information is for the T-Mobile unlocked version. Seems like nobody knows for sure about the sim free unlocked being activated on Verizon with a new account.

It should work but whether Verizon will activate it on their network is a separate issue. They usually won't activate devices that don't have their SKU from what I've heard.

All you need for a phone to work on Verizon's network is a working, activated Nano-SIM.

I had my Nexus 6 running with no issues. Took the same SIM into my 6 Plus, no issues at all.
