I like the stock keyboard also, mainly because 3rd party keyboards don't get access to iOS shortcuts and I use those all the time.
You don't need shortcuts with SwiftKey. I can type the first 2 characters of my email address, and the entire address shows in the center predictive box. SwiftKey has a great memory. I've had no need for using shortcuts at all. You can see in this screenshot how my email address shows. I had only typed 2 characters.

No you are not. I have tried a 3rd party keyboard on my iPad and it was a sluggish mess. Stock works just fine for me.

The stock keyboard is the best predictor and typing experience to date. I noticed with the other keyboards they get the incorrect spelling and predictions and I get frustrated. So I switch to the stock keyboard
    Well done apple

I prefer the stock keyboard, even after getting swiftkey and swype. The only third party keyboard I use is the elliptical one for one handed typing when necessary on the plus.

I also use what I call a utility keyboard. It's called KuaiBoard, and has been very useful in pasting copied text. It saves me a good bit of time.

I had some 3rd party keyboards on my 5S but always saw myself reverting back to the original. I like it.

I've tried a few 3rd party keyboards (SwiftKey, Swype, Fleksy, TextExpander, Minuum, etc.) but I keep coming back to the stock keyboard. As much as I make fun of autocorrect, I still rely on it too much. I also have a number of keyboard shortcuts that I use that make stock more valuable to me. But at least we have a choice now, and I can experiment as improvements are made to these options.

I think the stock keyboard is fine. I have swiftkey installed and try to use it but too often the keyboard seems to switch back to stock and it drives me crazy. I would rather just stick to stock.

I tinkered with the other keyboards...and ultimately came back to the stocker. There was nothing that attracted me to those other keyboard options.

I do think that some of the keyboards provide good functionality especially on the iPad. For me, it makes it easier to type when I'm not at my desk.

I've tried the others but have come back to stock always. The other keyboards are neat, but only in a "oh this is cool.....see the keyboards I can get now" kind of a way. Not practical

Even with the bugs, I absolutely still can't live without Swype. I used to jailbreak just to use keyboards with this ability. I started out with Android devices, so I've been used to swiping my finger around for many years. I'm very grateful Apple let me have my beloved keyboard back!

I have 3 different keyboards on my 6plus, but so far I have been using the stock keyboard, it works. But I do have to try the other ones out soon.

I totally love the stock keyboard, but last week I re downloaded "TouchPal" because I wanted to customize my keyboard with my own wallpaper to match my phone set up. Yeah....it's buggy so when it really frustrates me I just switch to the stock. I also re downloaded "Swype" because I love the ease of use with it, and I purchased the theme color bundle as well to be able to switch those too.

All in all I definitely prefer the stock keyboard, but I also decided having the 2 others that I like to use on occasion are a nice backup for a change of pace as well.

I'm beta testing Swiftkey and it is very buggy. It switches every time I swipe and refuses to show up in my Twitter app. The non beta version freezes every time I open my messages
