    Have tried rebooting, fiddling with the date/time, turning App Store on/off, checked wifi, etc. No luck. Any ideas?

    Have you completed the registration of your new phone and have you logged on to your Apple account? If so, you might have a defected device. Stop by your local Apple Store and have a genius look at it.

    I think surely your iPhone 6+ has an defective error. You must rectify it software problem.
