I'd say 3 hours is actually really good for the 6+. The thing has about a 3000 mAh battery so I'd expect it to take a bit longer to charge thana 5S. My 5 charges in about 2 hours and my ATIV S Neo charges in about 2 and a half, so 3 hours for a full charge on the 6+ seems wonderful to me.

It charges really slow on the 5W charger it shipped with. I noticed that on day one. I charge with an old 10W ipad charger now. Now you see why I was curious about the charger when you posted about first getting the 6+? lol
Yeah. I see why lol. I was wondering what you were talking about

How will this increase charging speed? Due to no cellular reception interfering etc? Don't think it will work.I'll just buy Ann iPad charger

Yeah get an iPad or any tablet usb charger, it does wonders. My HTC one took like 4-5 hours to charge and it had a 5-6 hour battery life

3 hours seems a bit much

I have a Lumia 1520 with a bigger screen and 3400 Mah battery and it takes about 2 hours tops(even while using it) to charge. But a larger battery in general will take longer.

The first cellphones your device had to be powered down while charging I had one and you had to sit around waiting for the green light just to make a call

Received my IQ charger today...(what a wonderful thing same day delivery is on Amazon!)

Charged my 6 Plus from less than 10% to 100% in less than 2 hours. Quite impressed! Little charger block got quite warm though...about the same as my Macbook Pro charger gets at times.

It is not a good idea to use a different volt charger as it can cause issues with the battery. The iphone comes with the charger meant to be used. It does take a little longer to charge the iphone 6 plus because it does have a bigger battery. Just be careful using a higher volt charger.

No. The iPad charger will not harm the iPhone. I've been using my iPad charger with iPhones for years just for convenience. Prior to the 6/6+, the phones didn't have the necessary circuitry to charger faster with the iPad harder, but it wouldn't harm them. For the 6/6+, they can take advantage of the higher watt charger to charge faster.
