I had to TRY to kill this battery, it's awesome! Their battery-saving optimizations are no joke. This day of battery usage was a little different for me, as I (purposely) left it off the charger at night, woke up and kept using it till whenever I took the screenshot. Normally I charge my phone at work or in the car as I'm an extra heavy user, streaming lots of YouTube or Spotify at work during the week. Still, this is what would be considered a Heavy amount of usage during a day: Picture and video taking, editing of said photos, navigation, YouTube videos here and there, texting and using WhatsApp, spending about two hours in a no-reception area (IKEA and it's maze of a store), and a few short calls. It's a full, 24-hour day. The one thing that I'm sure would have killed the battery quicker would've been gaming or online gaming. I rarely play games though, only occasional at home and around a charger.

This is average use for me. Yeah, Facebook is a battery hog. For real. It's amazing not having to change my phone every night. My 5 had to be charged every night and sometimes more than once a day, even. I average a charge every other night right now.

I agree that 17 hour number is phenomenal! I see you even have Bluetooth in. I've only had a max of 13 hours wifi only.

So after a few weeks, I've found that I pretty much always average 9:30 to 10:15. I also have noticed that from 100 to 90% I can get 1:30 to 2 hours, yet from 40 to 30 it's usually just 30 minutes to one hour. I guess the battery or meter is not calibrated correctly or something

Same as me. Is your battery jumping from 61% to 59% and from 55% to 53%?

Seems like a few are experiencing this issue. It's definitely a iOS 8 issue. Fingers crossed it's fixed Monday when iOS 8.1 is released.

Hmm, this evening I went from 100% to 90% in 2 hours, 90% to 80% in 45 minutes , and 80 to 70 in only 30 minutes !.....Doing the same types of tasks. I had recalibrated my battery a couple days ago full cycle, so it's not that. Very strange. Update : by the time I got down to 20%, I was just over 7 hours usage. So, from awesome to start to below average lol. No change in the usage either really
