This is largely being connected to Wifi most of the time.

Connected via LTE the majority of the time.
    Attachment 67487
That is exceptional. I hope to see results like those when I get mine.

I think I will set as new and see if it gets better. It's good, but many people are getting better.

If your primarily on 3G then I would expect those hours. You will likely get better battery life on LTE.

I'm 70% of the time on LTE, but some areas have only 3G

3G gets better battery life... LTE uses more power, not sure as to how much but it uses more... If he were to use 3G all the time is would be even better, but speeds would suck... I have a feeling 3G is the new EDGE...lol

Not necessarily, LTE used to use more power. Now with more tweaking and smaller lithography the techs should be pretty dang close. Is there a test out there that is honest AND recent?

One thing to consider is that a 3G connection requires the modem to be processing the same amount of data for a longer amount of time. Side effects of that is additional 'wait time' that is responsible for additional screen on time and app power draw. An LTE modem can process data and return to low power state far faster. Side effect of that is greater processor usage. This is my theory that I have derived from common sense and technical articles. Does anyone have links to tests as this is pretty neat stuff about the dynamics of battery life.

Next year or 2 we could see LTE using less power then wifi chips.

I've had my 6 plus for 3 weeks now. This is the best that my phone has done. All on wi-fi with heavy usage. It seems to be getting better and better as time goes on for some reason. I'm not complaining though!

I had to TRY to kill this battery, it's awesome! Their battery-saving optimizations are no joke. This day of battery usage was a little different for me, as I (purposely) left it off the charger at night, woke up and kept using it till whenever I took the screenshot. Normally I charge my phone at work or in the car as I'm an extra heavy user, streaming lots of YouTube or Spotify at work during the week. Still, this is what would be considered a Heavy amount of usage during a day: Picture and video taking, editing of said photos, navigation, YouTube videos here and there, texting and using WhatsApp, spending about two hours in a no-reception area (IKEA and it's maze of a store), and a few short calls. It's a full, 24-hour day. The one thing that I'm sure would have killed the battery quicker would've been gaming or online gaming. I rarely play games though, only occasional at home and around a charger. Show us your battery life on your 6 Plus-imageuploadedbyimore-forums1413229528.577867.jpg

This is average use for me. Yeah, Facebook is a battery hog. For real. It's amazing not having to change my phone every night. My 5 had to be charged every night and sometimes more than once a day, even. I average a charge every other night right now.

I agree that 17 hour number is phenomenal! I see you even have Bluetooth in. I've only had a max of 13 hours wifi only.

Over 21 hours of usage is still ridiculous regardless, gotta tip your cap to that.

So after a few weeks, I've found that I pretty much always average 9:30 to 10:15. I also have noticed that from 100 to 90% I can get 1:30 to 2 hours, yet from 40 to 30 it's usually just 30 minutes to one hour. I guess the battery or meter is not calibrated correctly or something
