How to off the proximity sensor

my mobile screen gets off every time while playing games or chat when my finger goes on sensor

Mine does not do that, the proximity sensor ONLY works on my device when I have a call connected.

What "mobile" device is this occurring on? If an iPhone, have you tried resetting all settings?
