Just to add to this , it’s my wife’s phone. My phone works fine in the same vehicle

Are you both on iPhone? If so, which ones and are you both on the latest OS?

Make sure Sound Check is disabled in Settings > Music on your wife’s phone.

Both iPhone 5s with latest updates, will try sound check

Turned every app off and now volume stayed normal. Narrowed it down to the [redacted] Judging by reviews others have the same complaint.I still have to test this after I removed SwiftFinder.
