Low battery

Today I had my phone on low power mode and when it got down to 15% I unlocked my phone and tried to open an app and my phone randomly shut off and when I plugged it in it showed it was dead and not turned on but a few seconds later it turned on and showed 15% Anyone else having any problems like this I'm running iOS 9.1

Welcome to iMore! I had the same issue when I had my iPhone 5 only my phone was shutting off at around 30%. I restored and set it up as a new device and it seemed to fix the problem.

And also just as I was reading your reply I was checking my gmail on the native mail app and it was saying to check my credentials so I closed the app and reopened it and it's fixed anyone have that problem too?
