    Hi!

    Is there a way to check the status of a device, online (like with the imei)?
    I tried imei.info but it is male bovine poo..

    Thanks =)

    Make sure there is no active Activation Lock enabled that device. Just get either the serial number or IMEI and enter it here. Apple will report the status of the device.

    Haha thanks for the info =P
    But this is not what I am looking for, unfortunately.
    I am actually looking for a way, online, to see if a device is carrier-locked or not

    Try this link.

    https://imeidata.net/iphone/unlock-check

    I checked my phone which is Sprint and it showed as carrier locked.
    This is for iPhone only!

    The thing is that this is a replacement phone acquired through an Apple Store, so I am trying to figure out if it is unlocked XD

    You said it was a replacement phone. Was it replacing a unlocked iPhone?

    I would think that the replacement would be the same status as the original.

    If you're eligible to get it unlocked. I guess your carrier will do it. Are you on a contract?

    Replacement means just that. You get what you had. They check all those long numbers and go snatch one from the shelf and send it to you.

    I am eligible, but now my carrier does not want to unlock it, since it is not a device that comes from them.
