I'm thinking about getting the Otterbox Defender screen protector for the iPhone 5s and iPad Air on Friday. Both of them come with a screen protector.

I already have a screen protector on my 5s. If I put my iPhone into the case with my current screen protector on and the case's screen protector on as well, would this make the view distorted on the phone? Or would I be better off with simply taking off the current screen protector that I have on now and leaving my iPhone in the case?

Also, are both cases easy for taking the iPhone and iPad out and back in?

As long as the screen protectors aren't to thick you should be okay.

Then again I'm not really big on the ones that come with the case. I usually remove the one in the Otterbox case.

If it fits and there's no touch screen issues you should be fine. Some are too thick though.

Taking it off sounds like a good idea due to the fact of better touch sensitivity.

My brother had the otter box defender and he took out the sp that came with the case and kept his invisible shield protector on and then installed the case. That way you don't get any dust that works its way behind the otterbox screen protector

Realize that with the otter box defender that dust will get into the case and under the screen protector. This even happens with the Lifeproof line of cases because of having to plug in to charge.

Like someone else mentioned, what I like to do is use a nice ballistic glass screen protector for the screen and then just remove the built in one.
