Moving from iPhone 5 to 5s

Hi folks

So I am considering upgrading to the iPhone 5s. My 5 is running fine and there really isn't any compelling reason to upgrade except that I want to shift while my iPhone 5 still holds good resale value. Anyway, I have a few basic questions.

1) How do I transfer my apps, files, etc. from 5 to 5s?
2) Will my text messages, whatsapp messages be transferred as well?
3) I changed the region of my apple id from UK to the US few days ago. Since then all the new apps I purchased/downloaded do not show up in my iTunes. I only see the old ones which I had in my UK account. When I transfer my content, which apps will I be able to transfer to my iPhone 5s, the UK or the US ones?

Thanks in advance guys for your help. I am a bit worried about this and from past experiences using android phones I am not very fond of changing phones due to the hassle involved in transferring data.

Yes. Just back up the iPhone then restore from back up when you have the 5s.

I have it backed up to iCloud. So I can restore from there?

Yes you can. When you set up new phone it will ask if you want to set up as new or restore from back up

Before you restore on the new phone, make sure you do an iCloud backup nice again right before so all your stuff on your older phone at that current moment in time is backed up and ready to restore as soon as you're ready to make the shift.
